We replace the old with the new, we want the shiny perfection of NEW. We get tiered of the things we have too quickly. There is no patient, no sentiment for imperfection, for scratches or stains that hold many memories. We don’t fix things anymore – we just replace them (relationships, furniture, houses, jobs). The new falsely promises all we want, the perfection of fresh start.
These are my thoughts this morning as I see it – pink and sad out on the pavement. The chair.
Once it was the center of a little princess bedroom, the highlight, the royal chair where she sat and did her homework, maybe drew fairies…
Now it is tossed outside – unwanted, undesired, broken and forgotten.
Spring cleaning has begun!
