coffee and laundry

coffee break # 38 – Laundry dissonance

It’s Saturday morning. I’m sitting with my coffee by the laundry mountains, in front of the TV, watching BBC version of War and Peace, making the task more enjoyable. The homey feeling, the smell of soap, the  soft touch of warm clothes, socks, shirts, underwear and… khaki uniforms.
Dissonance in my laundry basket!
As Napoleon invades Moscow I fold my sons’ uniform and think that mankind hasn’t evolved at all in matters of war or peace. Or as better said on screen: “We can know only that we know nothing. And that is the highest degree of human wisdom.” ― Leo TolstoyWar and Peace
