coffee break #34 – a poem

my partial summer vacation is almost over, keeping myself less busy has opened a void to search and find stuff like this beautiful poem -I thought of life as a Tetris game, but I’ll take the chess version of Hafez.
as I read this – I immediately want to shout “I surrender”, I want to give up my thousand serious moves, sit here, admire what is. telling my self that is enough. I am enough.
vacation can go on…

What is the difference
between your experience of Existence
and that of a saint?

The saint knows
that the spiritual path is a sublime chess game with God
and that the Beloved
has just made such a fantastic move
that the saint is now continually
tripping over Joy and bursting out in laughter
saying, “I Surrender!”

Whereas, my dear,
I am afraid you still think
you have a thousand serious moves.
